Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup Review Pictures Shades

With ALL these palettes coming out this Holiday Season which has started pretty early this year in the makeup world, I found this one to be very eye catching and cute at the same time: the Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup which retails for $59 at Sephora.com. It might sound like a lot but when you look at the CUTE packaging you can’t really resist it. For those of you who are thinking whether to buy the TARTE PRETTY PAINTBOX COLLECTORS MAKEUP go through this first impression of mine and you can then be the better judge 🙂

The Paintbox comes in a box which is covered in a fabric. The design is super cute and there is gold on the edges that make the Tarte’s Paintbox very attractive. However it’s not very light in weight, and if you travel a lot you would not find it a good option to carry around in your bag. It has a magnetic closure which might be loved by some of you but not everyone.

WHAT’S INSIDE Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup Case ?

Tarte’s much awaited Paintbox comes with:

  • Twenty Four Eyeshadows (Limited Edition)
  • A blush
  • Highlighter
  • Two bronzers
  • Tartiest Lash Paint Mascara
  • Rainforest of the Sea So Fine Micro-liner
  • Tartiest Glossy Lip Paint in Obvi.

The $59 seem to be getting justified, right?

The palette includes a mirror as well that closes to separate the goodies from the eyeshades. “Imagine, Create, Inspire” is written on the inside of the palette which is very thoughtful of Tarte.

EYE SHADES:

The color selection is going to be loved by the majority as there is huge variety, ranging from mattes to satin and shimmer finishes. Tarte has put in a lot of effort in naming all of them and here are the shade names for you all.

If you are looking for some OH MY GOD kind of eye shades, sadly there are none in here. You can find all of them in the forms of dupes here and there. The pans are smaller than their usual ones so that is a con here. I would like you to note that these are made in CHINA and not in the USA like the usual Tarte Eyeshades and this certainly seemed to have affected the overall quality of the eyeshades.

Rainforest of the Sea So Fine Micro Liner in Black is something new from Tarte here and I think that the pigmentation is good here.

Amazonian Clay Blush in Moment is one of my favorite things from the Tarte Pretty Paintbox. It seems powdery to the touch but once applied, blends in like a good blush.

Authentic – the highlighter did not turn out dry and applied very well resulting in a pretty sheen on the cheeks. Unique and Provocative get thumbs up from me too.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I would like to point out the fact that all the eyeshades lean more on the neutral side, they don’t include any specific stunning shade and the pigmentation isn’t very impressive either. I wouldn’t say that the Tarte Pretty Paintboc Collector’s makeup is something that could excite you or offer you something extraordinary for the fall season ahead so you might want to go to any Sephora outlet and test it before spending $59 on this because that is quite A LOT.

OVERALL VERDICT:

Pigmentation: 7/10

Texture: 7.5

Longevity: 7

Limited Edition: Yes (And it is already running out of stock)
